Now that I have more time, since our recent move to our new home here in San Antonio I have been trying a lot of new products over the past few months. A few have stood out and have made their way into my everyday routine. I love hearing which products and tools my friends use so I thought I’d share the things that I really can’t get enough of.
Curling Wand | After watching a few Youtube videos with wands, I decided to give it a try. I thought I’d hate it and was picturing myself burning my fingers like crazy. Instead, I became obsessed with the loose, precise curls that it created! It took a few tries to get used to, but I have gotten a lot better with it. It’s perfect for me since I cut my hair pretty short (lets say the hairstylist went a lot shorter than I expected him to go), finding a great way to curl my hair has been key and having the perfect curling wand is critical which is why I love this one from Nordstroms!
Although I got the one with the three interchangeable barrels, the1 1/4″-3/4″ tapered barrel is the best for beach waves, textured waves and curls, that are loose, tousled curls or more natural-looking waves. However, I do love the fact that I have three styling products in one!
Kiehl’s Super Fluid | This isn’t a new product, but I’ve rediscovered it from spending so much time outside in the sun (now that it’s cooling down). This is by far my favorite sunscreen for my face. I use it every day and keep it with me wherever I go. (It’s the perfect size to keep on hand in your purse!) I received this item as a Birchbox  sample and couldn’t get enough of it that I had to buy a full size!
I thin it’s different than other sunscreens, even facial ones, in that it’s very very very smooth. It goes on lightly while still getting full coverage.
Butter LONDON | I was looking around the nail selection at Sephora the other day and wanted to try a new polish that I’d been hearing about for a while now but couldn’t seem to cough up the money to spend on it. So, one day I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go and I am so happy that I did!  I am obsessed with how it looks.  Butter LONDON in the color Toff  is what I’ve been wearing on an everyday basis. This color really has put me in the mood for Fall and has been a great transitional item I’ve been reaching for now that the weather is getting cooler!
Neutrogena Lip Balm | My best friend got me hooked on this lip balm. It has theperfect amount of color, but it still feels like a lip balm. I apply it a few times a day whenever I’m out and about for a little bit of pop on my lips. I personally love it over a lipstick because it’s super easy to maintain throughout the day. It doesn’t get on your teeth, it doesn’t bleed past your lips, and it doesn’t awkwardly fade into a messy look.
Dry Shampoo | I’ve tried a few different dry shampoos over the years and never really got it. They always made my hair feel greasier and grosser than it would be if I just left it alone. I got this awhile back and let me just say… I don’t know how I survived without it. I think the trick for this one is to spray throughout your roots in sections and then to let your hair dry completely. (I especially love that it gives my hair a bit of a boost volume wise too.) I typically apply my makeup while it dries and then brush through my hair. It works like a dream. I couldn’t be happier, especially since it is so hard for me to find a good hair product since I have lots of very fine hair. It’s also a great product to use if you braid your hair and struggle to get it to stay throughout the day– it gives my hair a great hold!
