Some of my most favorite outfits are created when the seasons start to turn from summer to fall. I love it when I get to walk outside, take a deep breath in and AH! there it is, the morning crispness of Fall. There is nothing like it. I usually rush back inside and head straight for my closest to figure out what I am going to wear. The tricky thing is planning for the actual day itself. The day tends to be cooler in the morning and night and warmer in the afternoon. So how do I decide what to put on? Oh that dreaded transitional time of wardrobe confusion. So, I’ve decided to pull together some outfit inspirations for “pre-fall” to help with this years upcoming transition from summer to fall.
ONE: JCrew Navy Textured Dress – Tuckernuck Plaid Scarf – Nordstrom Lace Up Flats
I love this outfit choice since it can easily go from day to evening quickly! change out the scarf and flats with a jeweled necklace and a classic leather pump like this one from JCrew.
TWO: TuckerNuck Navy Hat – Banana Republic Turtleneck – JCrew White Jeans – Jack Rogers Booties
This is a wonderful outfit to go out running errands, lunch date or even just relaxing at home. I usually am not a fan of turtlenecks because they make me feel like I am being strangled but when I tried on this Banana Republic Turtleneck I absolutely reconsidered wearing turtlenecks once again! The tan turtleneck in the image is sold out but here is a very similar version of it from JCrew.
THREE: Tuckernuck Hat – Banana Republic Sweater Dress – Nordstrom Navy Sneakers
Oh there is nothing better than a sweater dress! Especially this one from Banana Republic. So soft and cozy, literally could wear it everyday! It hugs in all the right ways and is so flattering! If you don’t own a sweater dress, I urge you to go and pick this one up!
FOUR: JCrew Silk Blouse – JCrew Corduroy Skirt – Kate Spade Pump – Tuckernuck Saddlebag
I absolutely love this look! It’s classic with the Kate Spade block heel pump paired with a simple neutral corduroy skirt yet so retro.
