Wedding season is officially upon us and it seems that finding the perfect outfit, as a guest, is always the most difficult thing to do.  So I’ve answered several questions I’ve been asked on how to find the perfect wedding guest attire.

Question 1: “What is the best way to decide what to wear to a bridal shower?”

Answer: I usually figure out where the venue will be at, will it be indoors or not and how formal it is. I tend to go for more of a classic skirt paired with an embellished top or jumpsuit paired with wedges or heels.

Question 2: “What would you recommend wearing to wedding with a more formal theme?”

Answer: Choosing an outfit to wear to a more formal wedding depends on if the wedding is “White Tie” or “Black Tie”. Attire appropriate for a “White Tie” event would require a formal floor length evening gown (paired with long gloves). Attire appropriate for a “Black Tie” event would require a formal evening gown or dressy cocktail dress.

Question 3: “Is it appropriate to wear white or a shade of white to a wedding?”

Answer: Unless the bride makes it clear that she doesn’t care or mind that you wear white to the wedding, then I would avoid any shade of white. I tend to wear a solid color which can all depend on what type of wedding I will be attending.

Question 4: “What is your favorite wedding gift to give?”

Answer: I try hard to think about the couple, their personality and what they might like instead of what’s specifically on the registry and what I might want. I find that individuals tend to purchase a gift that they might want rather than thinking about what the couple truly might want.  Hence, the whole reason for a registry. I love gifting plush items like towels or bathrobes with a monogram. I also like gifting great stemware such as these, these, and these.

I am excited to share that I’ll be heading off to Austin, Texas to celebrate our good friends Zach & Irene as they get married this weekend!
